“Dako-Art” company from Środa Wlkp. functions on the pet products market since 1988. From the beginning “Dako-Art” company has developed dynamically and all the time has been improving assortment of products. Our company has also developed a distribution.

Currently our company produces above 300 different feeds and nutrients for exotic pets. We have a very good distribution of products which are well developed all over the country to zoological warehouses, also abroad. Our products enjoy with interest in Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary. Our products are also available in Finland since September 2007, since December 2007 in Bulgaria, since April 2008 in Sweden and since June 2008 in England.

In year 2003 the change of the owner of a company came up. As a result of reorganization since 01.05.2003 there was a transformation “Dako-Art” into a limited liability company. A chairman of that company was chosen Mr Piotr Roszak, whereas members of board are: Mrs Anna Bołcharewska, Mrs Barbara Roszak and Mr Paweł Szczepaniak.

The management board has chosen as a main target to raise the quality of our products and the quality of services which we offer to our Clients. In a very short time we have made lots of investments like modernization a technological lines for pet food and nutrients, changing food formulas and graphic look of packing. We also use a special technological line for cleaning row materials. Through those modernizations we can offer to our Clients the best quality products.

In October 2003 we have started a process of accustoming the System of Quality Management which is consistent with demands of an international standard ISO 9001:2000. In 6th of July 2004, as a result of certificate audit, the “Dako-Art” Sp. z o.o. received the Quality Certificate EN ISO 9001:2000. In June 2007 we have positively passed an audit of recirtification and we still take pride of possessing Certificate.

Current assortment of "Dako-Art" products includes wide range of pet food and nutrients for birds and rodents, food for dogs, cats also for turtles and aquarian fishes. It has to be underlined, that few producers of food for pets in Poland can take pride of such wide range of products as “Dako-Art”.

In spite of consolidated and known across the whole country trademark of our food for domestic pets, we do not rest on our laurels and we are still looking for new solutions. Fulfilling wishes of our Clients in 2004 we brought into market a group of 30 new products including in. a. a series of fruity foodstuff – Chrumiś Fructo, Andulka Fructo, Vit & Mix Fructo, Makki Fructo, which are the supplements of basic foodstuffs for particular species of pets. December of the same year is a new series of foodstuffs for rodents: basic, fruity and extra. In January 2005 we introduced “Dry foodstuff for ferrets”. Continuing the line of products for deguses (January 2004: “Dako-Art” company as first in Poland elaborated new formula and brought into market “Special foodstuff for deguses and gerbils”), in May 2005 we introduced so much awaited by Clients Smakoszka and Extra Foodstuff for deguses. Moreover in offer also found: Smakoszki, that are bars in new tastes for rodents, parrots, big parrots, fruity bar for chinchillas, “Dadik Fructo” ,– granulated – fruity foodstuff for chinchillas and “Eko – ściółka Special” – anti – allergic bedding for rodents. We have already started a production of Smakoszki for canaries and broadened the assortment of aromatic sands for exotic birds. Moreover, we have changed the graphics of packages of the majority of our products. That fact was relevant with the change of formulas and with the decision of placing translations in nine languages on packages. In October 2006 we have activated 4 new technological lines for baking smakoszki, biscuits, drops and sticks. Moreover, we bought a machine to pack in foil bags. Thanks to it, in November we have started to bring into market Smakoszka Popcorn, Smakoszka Bomboniera, Relishes in heart-shape, flower, ringo and mini ringo, also all tastes of Przysmak Lux, Biscuits, Drops – packed in bags on tickets.

We succeed, which encouraged us to work on another novelties. With an eye on our Clients we have projected a show – stand with company logo in order to make easier exposing products on tickets. It was available in December 2006. As it quickly turned out it was another great idea. January 2007 brought another novelties of supplemental foodstuffs from series of “tickets” as: - for birds: millet, negro grains, sunflower, hemp, ground biscuit, - for rodents: ground biscuit, Bio-kal and Coctails: fruity and vegetable, - totally new drops for dogs and cats as well. For the first time in our offer a toy appeared – ball for cats and ferrets with the opportunity of placing dry foodstuff in it.

We are working on modernization of our web site. We have created new lap with addresses of internet shops. We inform Clients about current actions, which we take, for example introducing novelties or changes. Thanks to web site we gained Client from Slovakia and also from Bulgaria. That motivated us to create and bring the English form of language. It definitely facilitate interested from abroad, acquainting them with our offer. Jobs on creating English page have started at the end of year 2007.

We lead also intense marketing actions, active advertisement of our products in it, amongst numerous body of Clients that trade, both in the country and abroad. We are also present on many market events of that trade in Poland. In June 2007 we took part in International Zoological Trade Fair in Łódź. It comes to fruition of gaining two foreign contractors – earlier mentioned Finland. Also few Clients from country, especially owners of the internet shops. In May 2008 we took part in “International Trade Fair for Pet Supplies INTERZOO 2008” in Nurnberg. There was really nice atmosphere and a lot of work to do – for which we thank to all interested in our products. From trades we came back satisfied and with new contacts :)
